Preparing your video for presentation:

•If titles are not required then provide a few seconds of black before your video begins and after it ends. You can do this by simply sliding all of your timeline content down a few seconds for the beginning of your video. For the end use either a "matte" or a "slug" located in the bottom right corner of your viewer window.

•You will be placing an exported version of your video project in the class folder located on the teacher station. Below is guidlines for how to export for this purpose.

Export your video.

Select the timeline with your video in it and make sure there are no extraneous clips at the beginning or end.  

Choose file>export>using Quicktime Conversion.

Give your file a name that includes your name.

Select the proper destination which is your firedrive.

Press the “Options” button.

For Video>Settings >Compressor type, choose H264 Video

Settings should be on fps>Current, Keyframe>All, Date Rate>Automatic, Quality>Hi

Click OK

Sound Settings should be:

Click OK

De-select the “prepare for internet streaming”

Click Ok

Click Save

After it has completed the save check to make sure you video is on the Firewire drive and it opens and plays properly in Quicktime. Place a copy in the class folder on the teacher station. Check it to make sure it plays how you expected.
